I hope you are right. Doesn’t make Kerfoot the more complete player regardless.
True.
Kadri is the better player.

Mikheyev is a top six guy and should be playing with Matthews or Tavares in my opinion.I thought I heard that Spezza was practicing at 3c. Either way I'm not confident in either replacing Kerfoot adequately. He's been a very good pick up for us and Mikheyev hasn't been quite as good lately

I agree actually. Although he isn't playing I,e an elite level player like he was for the first 6 or so games, I think his skill set would do a lot to compliment Matthews and Nylander. Johnson doesn't really add anything to that line that Nylander and Matthews don't.Mikheyev is a top six guy and should be playing with Matthews or Tavares in my opinion.

Kerfoot might be the value player if Kadri declines in the next contract but I don’t think Kerfoot is a fair value trade when Barrie playing as is and when he leaves next year.
It was a terrible trade. That third of ours for their 6th is a absolute slap in the face for a kicker. That said, Kadri buried himself getting suspended last playoff and was being moved because of it.
This management made a decision out of anger trading him! Not a good way to manage regardless what Kadri did. A bad trade by Dubas.

The law of averages. Two years ago, no one got hurt. Barely anyone last year. How many games have we lost due to injury at this point? It’s just a constant rotation through the hospital.
Don’t know , but Barrie and Shore have been out all year ...The law of averages. Two years ago, no one got hurt. Barely anyone last year.
Happens :/
His speed creates a lot of opportunities but he doesn't have the finishing abilities of a good top 6 winger.

Babcock continues to find ways to manage the Cap.
Well Spezza used to be a centerman, although I'd experiment with Engvall.
Leafs had an extremely unreliable player in a depth position and a cap crunch.
The concept of the move was fine. Returning a D and a role player. This injury doesn’t help but let’s not pretend that Kadri wasn’t a massive playoff failure in the last two seasons.
I really don’t think we or this board needs to have another trial on this topic do we?
