News to me in the sense of officialism but, you could feel it all year. Chico always disappearing the last half of the game and Ken jumping in as his replacement for the rest of the night. Personally think the guy will do a great job!

I'd love to see 5 minutes of Daneyko doing play by play though. Would be great entertainment. Maybe give him a few drinks before.

Sorry, but a Cangialosi/Dano pairing is my nightmare.
Dano seems to have some problems getting more than 5 words out of his mouth in any kind of sequence that doesn't include his tongue getting twisted. At least he knows his hockey and I loved him when he played.

He'd be stumbling over his words trying to keep up with the pace of play and then in the end, he'll get frustrated, say "Awww ******* IT!" on the air, leave the set, put on hockey gear, go down to the ice and hit someone.
Anyway, this article simply makes it official what we've all known when it was announced during the last game of the season.

I know they announced Chico was leaving but despite the 2nd period trials with Ken I don't remember any official announcement. I think we were 90% sure this was coming regardless.

I know these type of comments are in jest, but Ken is a recovering alcoholic.

So? It's news to some people here including myself. As many have stated, we knew it was coming but didn't hear an actual official announcement.

meh...doc does that too. especially when they can't tell if it went wide, was saved, hit a post, etc.
