Besides, kid needs to worth on his strength/stamina/skating, not play more hockey.

He should spend the time off getting stronger and skating when necessary. Shooting a bunch of pucks during those period on ice sessions may not be a bad idea either.

No competitive hockey.

I would prefer him hanging out with Kreider and Miller and working his ass off to hit the ground running.

It's different for someone like Kravtsov who potentially doesn't have an AHL season to play.

Kakko is and will be on the NHL roster.
