Okay guys I'm in a deep league, 1 year pool but very competitive (same owners for 6 years but not a keeper league)

12 team league G A +/- PIM SOG PPP W S% GAA SO

Anyways, 3 C 3 LW 3 RW 5 D 2 UTIL 2 G 5 bench

I was offered: his JVR+Chris Kreider for my Pacel Datsyuk

Will Datsyuk decline / post meh stats this year? And will JVR have continued production while Kreiders goes up? Should I do the deal?

My team:

C John Tavares
C Nathan MacKinnon
C Pavel Datsyuk
LW Taylor Hall
LW Gabriel Landeskog
LW Jordan Staal
RW Martin St Louis
RW Jakub Voracek
RW Nail Yakupov
D Brent Burns
D Jay Bouwmeester
D Marek Zidlicky
D Lubomir Visnovsky
D Cody Franson
UTIL Mike Ribiero
UTIL Nathan Horton
G Steve Mason
G Jaroslav Halak
BN Josh Harding
BN Niklas Backstrom
BN Tyler Ennis
BN Tomas Plekanec
BN Brock Nelson

Honestly, you need goaltending dude. I love Nate but in a 1 year he isn't worth as much. I'd debate flipping him or Dats for a very good goalie. You have depth offensively.

I'm comfortable with Halak as my 2nd goalie and having a Minnesota timeshare on the bench but yeah Mason concerns me as my number 1

So no to the JVR trade? Maybe deal Datsyuk for JVR+KReider then shop JVR for a goalie, so I still have winger depth?

I don't think it's a bad trade (Dats is getting up there in age now) but I would definitely try to get a clear number 1. Mason-Halak combo would scare me. You have forward depth. Hall, Tavares, Nate, Skog.. Great young players. But Id go for a great goalie (Schneider, Price. Etc)

Makes sense, thanks!
