I remember reading somewhere that he was already pretty much the dedicated Laval GM, so this just makes it more official.
They can have Jake AllenBetter make Laval a playoff team, not having a veteran netminder to support Dobes at the start of the year was a huge mistake
When I see Jan Mysak with 13 goals mired on the 4th line I just shake my head. No one on that team works harder than Mysak.AHL vets suck this year do better John
Absolutely agree................Allen should have been there to help, instead, he took 20 starts away from the kids in the NHL............Hughes was far too stubborn...Better make Laval a playoff team, not having a veteran netminder to support Dobes at the start of the year was a huge mistake

???? Allen wouldn't have passed through waivers.Absolutely agree................Allen should have been there to help, instead, he took 20 starts away from the kids in the NHL............Hughes was far too stubborn...
Mmmm.... are we sure about that?!???? Allen wouldn't have passed through waivers.
They couldn't do that to Allen after re-signing him last year. It's different than Armia because that was a Bergie contract. There's a people component to any organization and Hughes provided the rationale in a recent press conference. Many have sung Hughes praises for how he has treated them and this can go along way at some point for both signing free agents and retaining our own players.Absolutely agree................Allen should have been there to help, instead, he took 20 starts away from the kids in the NHL............Hughes was far too stubborn...
We can hope eh................they have spent a ton of effort to change the Gong Show narrative run by MB that's for sure. They couldn't do that to Allen after re-signing him last year. The majority of things are sadly who you know and not what you know.I’ve been vocal about getting away from the Alumni club hires for along time & some don’t want to hear it. Houle has done a terrible job, that’s not hate that’s fact. Same as Burrows with the big club. Pro sports are about result's and it’s big business meritocracy. We need HuGo to move us away from the frat house hires.
