An '89 born playing for Färjestad in Elitserien.

No points in 7 GP, but I'm sure he hasn't played much for them. He put up point-per-game numbers last season for his U18 squad.

Any more information on this guy, or what kind of player he may pan out to be?

A 16 y/o playing in the SEL is usually major news, it don't guarantee anything, but its not usual, and most of them who do become great.

But, Färjestad don't have the same depth among juniors as every other SEL team, most of their 18-21 y/o "prospects" are loaned to teams in lower divisions. It takes time to get thoose kids back.

So if they get allot of injurys in a short period of time they are forced to bring up kids from their U-18 team. Hence the reason Erkgärds got brought up.

He is a good player, no doubt. But atleast IMO its quesitonable if he will become a 1st round pick, though I haven't seen much of him.
