Jets World Junior Pool Year 4: mzappa leading into medals, Hank 2pts/ps241 3pts back

Any chance we could get an update one of these days? I like this thread more when we can see the day to day changes. I understand it's a lot of work and you guys are probably busy but I for one would appreciate it!

My goal is to update it daily. Unfortunately Sunday was a travel day and yesterday I couldn't get to it. I'm working on an update now.

Wish I had picked a starting goalie... damn. For some reason I was convinced Vladar would start over Vanecek but looks like they're going with the 19 year old.

Dvorak USA had goal and assist yesterday, so technically Hammer and me tied for the lead (as of yesterday).

edit - Dvorak also missing assist from Canada game, so guess I'm in lead until todays games!

I had a 10 point day yesterday and a 6 point day today as well so I might be creeping up in the standings?

Yeah I kinda had a bad feeling this would happen. Especially given how all the Fins on HF were saying how lackluster Kapanen has been and how Zacha failed for me last year too.

Nylander got concussed in the first period of the first game as a #3 overall pick. Kinda sucked my team was dead 10 minutes into first game. Of course the fact that I had to make 2 picks from the airport without research hurt as well (hence the Slovak heavy roster despite the fact I knew they didnt have much at all offensively haha).

Last season I took their back up really late and he got me 10 points which was flukey. Russia can be a tough group to figure out at times. I thought Samsonov was a lock this year as well?

No goalie wins, had to go through each game individually and half the time they don't even have game sheet so I had to read the game recap to find out who was in net. Took me forever. They also don't have any goalie assists, so if those were missed let me know.

Thanks for the update. It looks like you missed an assist for Siegenthaler, he recorded one in the game against Belarus on Sunday.

I had a 5 point game with USA Sweden but it appears FrankZappa did as well so I think my repeat championship is dead. Oh well I feel pretty good about my drafting as my points were well distributed the only guy I chunked it on was Krys for as early as I took him.

Good on you for riding two underagers to victory. Last year the Fins sucked bad for fantasy points and traditionally 17 year olds suck in this tourney so full props to you on the bold strategy.

I've working on my tank. From 2nd to 3rd to 5th to 10th. Tank mode initiated!
