For non-practical reasons, tempted to choose #97 for 2 Mcdavids on the Oilers - either there is always a Mcdavid on the ice or we get to see 2 Mcdavids playing together (what a sight that would be just as a fan of hockey - even if that choice wouldn't really help the Oilers win as much as some other options)

Went with 88, because

1) You get the most ice time out of it (your goalie and five skaters)
2) Vasilevskiy's a freak
3) That's a pretty sick collection of skill forwards, even if it mightn't be the best there

You also get Necas and Schmidt, which I wouldn't say no to

Basically a litmus test for how thirsty you are for each position.

1: Defenders
2: Centers and Goalies
3: Wingers and Goalies
4: A ridiculous depth of centers and wingers. Would have been a better choice 3 years ago. Maybe collectively approaching washed up.
5: A gamebreaker or two.

Voted 2 to collect the goalie and a full compliment of centers. And sure Laine can come too.

I decided to not vote for an option that my team already has (So no 29 or 97).

I think 88 covers everything from top to bottom for the Oilers. You get two great wingers in Kane, Pasta Nylander, some defensive support in Burns and one of the best goalies in the game in Vasi.

8 for me, you have 2 Conn Smythe winners, another that should've won (Doughty) and Werenski whos pretty good

Doughty's old now, Ovechkin's getting old too (and generally wasn't amazing in the playoffs), Werenski was never that good

This question will get different answers for different teams,

as an Oilers fan easy to choose #8.

A top-6 of
Kane-McDavid-Hyman
Ovechkin-Draisaitl-Yamamoto
and a top-4 of
Nurse-Makar
Werenski-Doughty

2nd is #88

Kane-McDavid-Pastrnak
Hyman-Draisaitl-Kane
Mangiapane-RNH-Nylander
would be a filthy top-9 with
Nurse-Ceci
Kulak-Burns
and Vasilevsky in net

97 if you're already a contender and just missing 1 or 2 piece
8 if you need D
29 if you need C and G
88 if you need W and G
91 if you don't need D or G

He'd easily be the Jets best defensemen. Like really easily. He'd also be the Ducks best defensemen easily.

Those aren't active players though..... You could easily add people like Selanne and Neely to #8

#88 for the Avs with Vasi alone it would be enough :sarcasm: These lines would be balanced. I would've put Mangiapane, Nuke and Lehk as 3rd line but none of them can play center.

Great, but MacKinnon would also be the Jets' and Ducks' best forward so I'm still taking 29
