I like Pominville's chances more in that situation than in a shootout. He just got the pass from Vanek, which mean that Scrivens couldn't be fully set and was moving across, much easier five hole shot. 9/10 is hyperbole, but I really think this is a situation where there was a high likelihood of a goal.

Not to mention pass possibility, rebound control...etc
