I dont think Sergachev was blocked by McDonagh and Hedman. Gavrikov also plays a very different role than those 2 aswell

Fair point on roles but Chychrun averaged 23 mins in ARI, I get that would be trimmed down but Werenski also averaged 25.5 and Gavrikov with 23 so there's only so much time to distribute.

If so, that'd become one of the best LD depth in the league.

CBJ going to be major players, i think they are done with draft picks and rebuilding. They want wins now.

CBJ will not be adding Boqvist to get Chychrun.

Bean could go the other way on top of 12OA, but that’s not enough.

I think the CBJ only do this if they think Chychrun is playing the right side.
Maybe I'm not as high on Boqvist but he seems expendable when Werenski is healthy and I'm not sure Boqvist is built to play the CBJ style that Larsen wants them to play. I have similar questions about Bean but Boqvist has more value.

"I don't want to go through another rebuild!"

"okay. You've been traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Enjoy."

"..."
Or he could be a key piece of a build that is much farther along instead of sitting around 3-4 more years waiting for players to develop playing for 5,000 or less people a night in a college ice rink.

Right because there's a correlation between prospect development trajectories and arena capacities.
I never said there was.

But if you don't think playing in a tiny arena in a city that can't figure out how to get a feasible arena while the rest of the NHL plays in areas with larger capacities and larger attendance doesn't play into a player's psyche I'm not sure what to tell you.

Columbus has its own issues with player perception around the league but Arizona has got some bigger issues to address.

Have you seen what they’ve done over the last year?

With Chychrun+ Johnson& non rookie Sillinger Columbus is definitely fighting for a playoff spot already.

Then add they have the 6th overall for this draft and they mean business

Arizona loved Sillinger a year ago.

No way he moves

Not entirely sure, have heard some on here say he has but how good he's been, can't really recall.

@rt can Chych play RD?
He played the right side quite a bit last season.

So why does the OP's link assume it's for Chychrun and not Keller or Crouse?
Because Keller and Crouse aren’t being traded. Chychrun is.

Columbus is at least two years further down the road on theirs.

No to Bean. Yes to Ceulemans.

I’ve been saying for months they should sign Kadri. Let’s see if they are a big UFA forward, whether it’s him or someone else.
He could eventually do it if he likes a players enough but hes been on record saying he doesnt like building a team by overpaying FA. Hes usually looking for the 2nd tier guys like Nyquist
