A bit early for this but so far he's played some good minutes and he's done decently well. I like Dewar for his age + cost controlled but not much of an impact so far. Edmundson has barely been noticeable and that's pretty good.

2 - A

Samsonov has been great but for me Woll is the guy, just needs to string some games together. We'll see though in the next few weeks.

3 - D

Can't stay healthy and wasn't able to take over a roster spot when he was. The other 3 are either with good potential or far better players. He's the more likely to be traded/cut from this list.

4 - D

Why not?

1) A- I'll go Boosh, but Edmundson is right there.
2) B - Sammy has won back the starters spot (for now...lol), IMO. Second best winning percentage in hockey.
3) A - Unless there's a coaching change, I think he's on his way out. Probably to EDM...lol
4) C - They have to get a little luck at some point in the P.O.'s at some point, might as well be now.

A) Sammy only because he's putting up the numbers the Leafs were hoping to get out if their starter, and not just because he's the incumbent.

I'm thinking that both those guys get involved in trades this coming summer as side pieces.

If they play at 90% of their capability, if both Sammy and Woll play at 915 or above, and if Bertuzzi gets his act together then they could win two rounds. If the MVP loses that annoying smirk and puts on a real growl and finally gets serious about making his opponents treat him with not only respect but also caution and whether he does it a la Bobby Clarke or Wendel Clark, then the Leafs may finally get on the dance floor.

If Matthews gets real serious the other guys will fall into line, if he's the same old same old than why would the other guys care.

1. B - All three players have made positive contributions. I went with Edmundson due to him having the highest TOI/G and the +2 rating.

2. B - Seems like the net is the vet's job to lose.

3. D - He unfortunately continues to be a spare part due to an inability to remain consistently healthy.

4. The path regrettably consists of either the league's best team at the present moment, or a team that would arguably be in line to top any of the other divisions. In other words, D (for defiance)!!!

He's earned back the starter job. Especially since Woll got the last 2 games against Boston, and didn't do great. I have a sneaking suspicion that they shielded Samsonov from them on purpose so as to not break his confidence against our likely round 1 opponent.

Everyone else's role seems locked in. Timmins just isn't the type of player the new GM wants.

C - Added the right players for a gritty playoff run. I think the leafs finally make it to the big show. But lose out to one of the West’s powerhouses.

1.) A - Decent partner for Rielly, familiar with the team, good plug and play guy with some size
2.) B - I think they'll both play. Sammy has a sustained hot streak lately, very important going into the series with a hot player
3.) D - Decent player, high enough salary that we'd want to move, RD so should be a suitor. Doesn't fit Tre's qualities. All likely signs of us moving him
4.) E - I don't believe in this team, but would really really love to be wrong. It's very sad having the most exciting time of year be so short lived.

1. That's a hard one, because all that matters is their impact in the playoffs. It's probably going to be A/ Boosh, if there is a positive impact in a Rielly pairing.
2. B/ Samsonov... it's his to lose at this point, unless Woll begins to stand on his head... and I believe Woll is our future, if he can stay healthy.
3./Kampf.... cap move.
4./ E, no rounds. Their history doesn't really suggest otherwise... I'd love to be wrong.

I don't want to derail the thread or come down on anyone. I also know that this is based on TSN's quizzes, but but but this is not really a quiz. A quiz is defined as a "test of knowledge". This Quiz and the TSN ones are more a survey of opinion, or a poll. I have no idea why they name them quizzes.

Just a public service announcement because if your professor tells you "there'll be a quiz on Monday" I can guarantee that you'll have to know the right answers. It won't be a question of opinion or a survey.
