And now, presented as a public service: a complete chronology to Frank Capra’s 1946 classic It’s a Wonderful Life. Most of the movie, of course, doesn’t take place during the Christmas season. It’s a series of flashbacks spread over 15 years of the life of the hero, small-town businessman George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart).

When my wife and I started dating we were talking movies and we both picked this movie as our favorite. One night a few months into our relationship we nauseated her brother when we were trying to stump each other with trivia questions about the movie.
Of course it was Clarence while they were getting dry in the drawbridge control cottage after they took a dunk in the freezing water.
George was explaining how important money is and Clarence answered with "tut tut tut."
That clinched it and 18 months later we got married...

Merry Christmas To All!:elf::sgrin:

SNL: THE LOST FOOTAGE OF "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE"

William Shatner introduces the never-before-seen lost ending of It's a Wonderful Life, where George Bailey (Dana Carvey) and the people of Bedford Falls take bloody revenge on Old Man Potter (Jon Lovitz). [Season 12, 1986]

I never saw the movie until 1985 when I was living in Chicago where WGN-TV ran it every Thanksgiving. If it ran in Boston I somehow missed it.

Then the copyright lapsed and every station ran it until finally, NBC got control of it in the US.

For some reason, the movie was delayed opening in Boston back in 1947 but the downtown theater teased people that it was coming

That theater today is known as the Citizens Bank Opera House

Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol.

Only George C. Scott's is better.

But Muppet's are close.

My father would watch 3 Christmas Carols each year. Old dude cant remember, george c scott and patrick stewart

think he just watched george c scott this year
I want to watch the original 1931 but for some reason I can’t get without paying

Scrooged is good - vintage Bill Murray

seen it several times didn’t realize David Johansen the lead singer of the punk band ‘New York Dolls’ was the cab driver/ghost of Christmas past
