Well, I guess it was the inspired play of the new guys that lifted the team. Also, Marc Denis wanted to show he was the no.1 goalie on the team now. Denis actually is the leader among all starting goalies this season with his GAA of 1.98 and a sv% of .920.. The fact that he has been the starter for a total of 1 game is irrelevant..

Leighton had a couple of wins during that streak, just had to end sometime. Still very cool, and congrats to Ville and the Avs for being the answer to an HFNHL trivia question!

And the Avs are now 1-1 in games against the Jackets this season.. if it only could be 82 games of Avs-Jackets.. I might even make the playoffs then..
