Vili Sarajarvi was a player the Blackhawks acquired in the three team Patrick Kane trade from NYRangers via Arizona(or vice versa)…he has just his second season with Langnau of the Swiss League(Jiri Felcman also played there)…Blackhawks have his rights til this summer…is he an option for next season or was he just the guy moved to facilitate the three way trade?

Could he be another Erik Gustafsson type?

No he’s not. He was included as a part of the Kane trade from Arizona due to New York using their retention slot. His rights expire this year.
