Is Jeffler a part of the media?

I was watching the Marlies Calder Cup celebration (post game) on the weekend and noticed that Jeff Veillette was on the ice for the post game. I know that he runs his own website and puts out a steady dosage of blogs, but is that considered media?

Is that all one would need to do in order to get credentialed? Start up a low budget blog and tweet about the team?

I’m honestly asking because I assumed you needed to be a hired member of a media company to have this type of access to the team.

Blogging helps but that's not all you need to get creditials. I believe you buy them.
