It also seems DSE owes the city of Trois -Riveres $600,000. "The bad news is piling up for the Lions of Trois-Rivières. While the owner of the team is trying somehow to silence rumors that the Trois-Rivières concession of the ECHL is for sale, we learn that the City of Trois-Rivières has just put the company that owns the team, Deacon Sports and Entertainment (DSE), in default for bad debt of nearly $600,000.

Well, the good news for Heartlanders fans is that the team should stay in the market and get some extra support from the Wild.

The Canadian teams, however, are going to have some issues cuz remember when the Growlers got kicked out of the arena for a few weeks?

If the business is organized properly, they could take one team through bankruptcy without affecting the other teams. But that, of course, is dependent upon the owners doing the legwork beforehand, consulting competent business formation attorneys, and actually acting upon their advice.
