Import Draft Question

I've got a question regarding the CHL Import Draft.... Are the teams allowed to take players from other parts of the world(Asia for example) then just Europe?? And has any player from the rest of the world ever been selected in the Import Draft?

As far as I know, yes, they can take players from anywhere besides the US and Canada. I believe Mexico is eligible as well.

No idea, I don't know enough about the CHL to tell you that.

But considering the import draft is so short and the teams tend to pick players that they know will make an impact and can come over and play, I would assume not.
