Yup that whole area is going to be nice once they complete it around 2017. When the new arena opens I can't wait to get back up to Detroit and catch a game or two.

Much like Detroit itself. Pretty rough to look at, but a lot of heart and a great place to watch a game.

Yup you have 3 more seasons left. I have only been to the Joe 3 times and one was the 1980 All Star game. I left Michigan in 1981 for Florida and I have'nt been back to the Joe yet I need to get up there one more time before they move into their new digs.

It's a very Detroit thing to say. That being said...yeah, I've got go at least one more time. I'll make it a point to go to one in the Joe's final year. Still three more seasons to enjoy "OUR dump".

The Joe is outdated, but I wouldn't call it a dump. The atmosphere and sight lines still make it a great place to see a game.
