If Iggy had any thought of returning as a UFA in July, he wouldn't have sold the house. After all, we are talking about a few months.

I'm pretty sure that while he had a house in Calgary, he considered the off-season house in Kelowna his home. He's always seem to prefer it in interviews and things, which makes sense to me...

I envisioned a scenario where Iggy had trouble hooking on with a contender due to cap constraints, signing back with Calgary on a 1 -year deal (for pretty good money), and then having Calgary flip him at the deadline to a contender ala 1012.

Iggy gets to stay at home for most of the year, make better money, and then be assured of playing for an elite contender next year. And Calgary gets another pick.
