Ok, all the GM spots have been filled. Now you are all free to trade picks and players. Use this thread for players available for trade and to announce any trades. For you new GMs, its very helpful if you sign up to MSN Messenger as many of us use it to communicating when talkin trade (plus ya make a few friends in the process). Once (if) you sign up, send me your account name so I can add it to the list and I will have the contact list for GMs upon request (if you don't not wish to be listed please tell me so...I don't want to give out someones email if they dont want me to). We might also use this thread to make our selections (it hasn't been decided yet)

*NOTE Draft Schedule Change*IFHL 2004 Draft Date Monday July 5th @ 3pm EST (time might changed due to our European friends...so keep an eye out for any time change)

My MSN contact is [email protected]

Players not available: Spezza and Datsyuk.

Interested in trading for higher spot in draft and aquiring new players to make my team according to the players I want. So anyone of my players, other than the above, are available.

On my roster it says Bergeron-Cleary-Arnason-Datsyuk. Can someone clear that up for me, cause if I have Patrice Bergeron he isnt available either.

Well, there are two Bergeon's in the NHL, Patrice and Marc-Andre obviously. Since M=D has a Bergeron on defense, I guess your Bergeron is indeed Patrice.

As for the time of the draft, I am not sure if it is noon or midnight, although I am assuming noon. Which equals 6 pm CET, so should be manageable, although a bunch of as are going to have dinner around that time, and I suspect BF among others may be watching the Tour prologue. (Even though we know who he is going to pick anyways ;))

Chances are about 90% that I won't be around on Saturday July 3, I'll send in my list to DLF though if he doesn't mind. I have my final exam tomorrow and I'm probably gone for the weekend on friday, wich should give me time to compile a list to send to DLF.

That also means that offers for my picks (I'm not trading the first though, unless you give me something really extraordinary) or offers giving me picks for player(s) should be in by thursday. You know where to reach me.

I will send a list tomorrow. I hate the #6 spot.

Heck, you know how bad it is to end up at #3 in this draft after sucking this bad (sort of on prupose, with vision ;) ) for the entire year? Although I know who my player is going to be already anyways...

BTW, sending a list is fine BF, as I should be around at that time in principle. You need to provide a list for only 2 picks anyways ;)

As for the starting time, I am wondering if 2 pm EST (8pm CET) could be possible, as that time would mean most of us Europeans should have had dinner by then :)

Is this btw going to be a draft on this board or will it be in some IRC channel?

I am not sure if I will be available on draft day (my wife is in the hospital right now)... Is there someone who we can send a list to?

As an emergency alternative, can we just say take the highest remaining pick based on the real draft?

Well, I do already have an extensive list from Belgian Fan, and a not so extensive list for Biggest Canuck Fan (I think he wants me to pick the highest drafted prospect from the real draft should those guys not be around). Since I have 6 own picks, some 8 or so for BF should he not be around and 4 for BCF, you might want to send your list to some person less busy. Try M=D, he doesn't have anything to do anyways

What format are we using for the draft anyway? Now that I think about it, this isn't going to be live is it?

A while back I proposed that we run the draft allowing for up to 24 hours for each player's pick.

There is no rush after all. We have literally MONTHS to do just 3 rounds... And maybe longer with the likely lock-out.

Well I wanted to do the first round in one day...with the second and third round with time limit picks (like 6 hours) because we also need to get the waiver draft started a week after we are done with the entry draft. You can send your list in to me.

I have tried to move a few things around but some last minute changes came up and I'm not able to attend the draft.

I'll send a list of my first 28 picks to you (I draft at 17 and 28).

Even with the Waiver draft, we still have a lot of time. But still, I guess that's not too aggressive of a plan. Especially with such a thin draft this year.

Anyway, I've PM'd my list for the 1st round up to my pick.

Any if anyone wanted to trade for my later pics, I'd be open to it.

I have to leave in a few minutes but since it's almost time for the draft I can officially confirm that the Avalanche will select with it's first pick...

*drumroll*

Alexander Ovechkin out of Russia.

(admit it, you were all expecting Blake Wheeler to go #1 right :p: )
