Very nice third period by the Jets. Tighter than a blanks-blankity-blank-blank. No penalties, and held the NYR to 7 shots. If every third period was played like that with a lead, you'll win most games.

9-3-1 in the last 13 and Pavelec over .916 in those games. Coincidence? I don't think so.

The Jets are playing the right way, physical and passionate, but goaltending will always be key. Hopefully Pavelec is finding his game on a more consistent basis and can realize his potential.
