Wow. Last year, the highest number of goals scored by a team for the season was Tampa at 259. RobRossi's 279 would be optimistic for sure; the 341 suggested by bennett? Not gonna happen, I think it's safe to say.

How many goals do you think the penguins will score next year? Will they lead the league? Who will the top 4 goal scorers be next year?

I'll go with 287 - average of 3.5 per game
Yes
Malkin
Crosby
Kessel
Kunitz

I think the forwards alone will probably hit 250. Plus 10 from Letang and let's say 15 from the rest of the blueliners combined, I think it'll be around 275. Provided the big names stay reasonably healthy.

SITH EDIT:

The Waffle is correct: You can post either the team total or individual totals or both, but we don't need two threads.

Can Harrison, Walker, or mercer play first? We'd have a really dynamic lineup of that happens and polonco continues to improveimprove.

Also matters if either Maatta or Letang go down and Pouliot doesn't grab the top 4 role by the horns. Less consistent offense without puck movement from our D. We could get into a big time "unexplained slump" again this season if/when Maatta/Letang go down.

I'm too lazy to add up a team's goal totals.

But I do think we have a very good chance of having two 40 goal guys again. And 4 with more than 30.

250 goals or thereabouts seems realistic.

Malkin will invariably spend a decent amount of time on the IR or banged up and the league is in the gutter, right now. Nobody even cracked 90 total points, last season. Only 5 cracked even just 80. There were no 60+ goal scorers, one 50+ goal scorer, and only THREE total 40+ goal scorers.

Depends on whether the NHL decides to start calling penalties again. If they don't, I would expect a number around 230. If they do, 250-260 seems reasonable.
