Someone making a big mistake whoever gives him a pile of money. He's talented but not a driver that Florida team is loaded and he's having career year. Has he even played centre since leaving Sabres.
Better bet would be Lindholm unless of course he takes less to stay in Vancouver. He'd be fine as a temp 1C until another is developed then move into 2C role. Solid vet good character guy and responsible 2 way player. You could do worse. Don't even consider PLD from LA.

He’s also not a real top 6 C.

- Use stop gaps a la Johansen for better drafting position.

- Flyers have good young players, just let them cook.

There isn't really a easy way to get bonafide 1C from other teams. Maybe closest could be situation like Pinto before he agreed to extension and even he is not 1C. But he could be.

It depends on money I guess. Reinhart is the better player imo, but his next contract is definitely set up to be a boat anchor.

draft one. and be patient with him. flyers are picking high enough that there will be some talented (albeit imperfect) centers still on the board, just need to choose wisely. and flyers have actually done fairly well in identifying top young centers of late, they just need better health luck (and to quit dealing them away). heck, morgan frost seems like he can be at least solid 2c if torts quits jerking him around.
