I'll be a bit more interested in the Wolves season this year with how young they seem to be trending so far.

He is very offensive minded. Last season he was #2 point scorer for all defenders in Liiga although his plusminus was terrible (57 games, 6+31=37, - 23). JYP underperformed last season being 13th of 15th in the regular season.

He likes to play with puck possesion but struggles without the puck so he really needs to develop that aspect of his game. His skating as above average. He needs to bulk up of he wants to be better at corners.

I watched Honka play when he came over for the prospects session in 2019. Very slick skater, great passer, and generally very puck aware. Needs to bulk up and work on his gaps. However he's improved his defense nearly every year based on what I've read. He's now considered "at least an average defender". Not sure how his shot rates, I thought it was ok but nothing to write home about.

Still, I'm excited for this signing. I believe he ultimately has NHL talent.

Wouldn't think so, it was pretty obvious that this was about to happen. Just last week Finnmedia raised him up as an unsigned (Liiga) player of interest. All signs pointed that they were just waiting to do the inking, for some reason.

Looks to me like there might also be a 10+ Games Played bonus on top of these, maybe to the tune of 80k-105k.

yep, updated. no bonus info yet from the Canes or on Cap Friendly so we'll see when to add that.

He and Farrance will duke it out to QB the Wolves PP. He and Chatfield (who I think is sent down) are the likely the only 2 RD on the Wolves’ roster barring any other moves.

If things went ideally for him, he could end up better, who knows.

I have tempered expectations for Morrow. I’m thinking he ends up a faster, slightly bigger Justin Faulk, which would be great. If he ends up better, even more great.

If Honka makes it to the NHL, I think his ceiling is Tyson Barrie. That’d still be a pretty valuable defender.
