Wow, I thought I'd have stranglehold on McGee ranking, but I actually got lapped!

But then, the voting seems to be VERY different from the initial list, and the initial list is bound to look controversial itself.

Eh, what can I say. It's not a fantastic list. I read books on the early eras at the same time I did the list, and got caught up in some players. Tommy Smith shouldn't be top 20. But I do regret I didn't put in Lorne Campbell somewhere. ;)

And Dan Bain.

1st of all many people in the know have Dave Keon as the greatest leaf ever-People like Scotty Bowman or Howie Meeker. As for Messier If you dont have him in your top 7-then you dont know the game or history.Again Im not judging just telling the truth

I'd like to remind everyone that the edler ranked Keon 4th in Vote 8th. In other words, 31st. Which is exactly where he finished in the final rankings.

His placement in round 1 probably had no impact whatsoever on Keon's final rank. If anything, the edler shown that he had an open mind and came back on his earlier ranking.

Now, who would have believed I'd be a peacekeeper in this!

You are the Elder, not the Edler. Love those old-timers.

Saying an opinion is a truth is really not the truth.

Messier was not in my top 7 and my opinion is that I know the game.

Of 23 accepted lists, 10 had Messier in their top 7, 11 had him between 8 and 11, and then there was this list :)

Edler was quite consistent in ranking NHL-era two-way centers much lower than the rest of the group in round 1

And fellow countryman, HHOF Member Tommy Dunderdale edler. Where's he on your list?..... Not seeing him anywhere. :nono:

Dunderdale is there on the list, 47th. You think I would forget him? ;)

A guy I missed though was Harry Trihey.
