I will probably make a longer post tonight, and whenever I have more time than I do at the moment, but I regret Kolzig in the Top-50 and Rollins 60th (should have been a tad higher). If anything, I'd be happier if I would've had switched them around.

Lesueur was a pure omission.

I am curious to know what made you flipflop on Roy and Plante

I think you had Giacomin too high in Round 1 but mostly corrected that in Round 2.

You have Tretiak lower than most, but you were pretty articulate about that during voting.

Observations as a whole. To me, Roy and Plante are basically virtual ties. The kicker here might just have been that Plante largely made his legacy on a better team than what Roy did. To me, they're virtual ties.

I actually had Giacomin too high until the round where he actually got in. I pictured him as a guy who wasn't that great in the playoffs, but in the end, had no effect on the outcome (a bit like the Luongo case, actually). The more I dug, the more I realized that most teams would have lost with Giacomin in the crease (and quite dissimilar to the Luongo situation). I blame my ignorance for this. Today, I'd rank Giacomin around 35th -- lower than where I had him in the end.

Thankfully, the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine captured the lists for this project, which were deleted during HF's adventure in software upgrades. Restoring them here in case the Wayback Machine link ever goes dead.

I ... learned some things over time :)
But I was already relatively low on Sawchuk, Tretiak, Tiny Thompson and Mike Richter. This didn't change.
I warmed to Gardiner, Rayner and Beezer during the project. My Dave Kerr ranking looks a wee bit high, but he tends to be a bit underappreciated, so I don't regret it one bit. My ranking of Luongo is totally unexcusable (and that was in 2013), especially when you factor Vokoun. I'm still surprised that someone ranked Normie Smith over 39, because, frankly, I don't think I could justify Normie Smith above Bobrovsky as of today, and Bobrovsky isn't cracking my Top-40 (though he's probably passed the likes of Kelly Hrudey and Mike Karakas).
