Highlight Request: 2006 Lightning vs Senators Round 1

I am in search of any highlights from the above mentioned playoff series. I have been searching for highlights for years, but it seems as though it was been scrubbed completely from the internet. This was a 5 game series that Ottawa won.

Sorry, I can’t help. I went to one of those games though. It’s the only playoff game I have ever been to. (Bolts lost)

That'll be tricky, NHL has only uploaded vids since 11/15/2006 so you'd be hoping someone at one of those games recorded on a camcorder and uploaded it to youtube in April 2006 which was right before it became big

The NHL website had the highlights from pre 2006 until I think around 2003, but they were wiped around 2012 IIRC. Since then it seems like I am shit out of luck. However, if the TV stations wanted to pull those highlights I'm sure they could in no time. Which makes me wonder how it could have disappeared in the first place..

Also, I could verify that the highlights from the Sens Lighting series was on the NHL website until about 2012, so they could be out there somewhere.

IIRC it's ESPN that should have the highlights (apart from NHL ofc) so its on them unless a fan recorded it back then.

Id ask in Tampa and Sens respective forums to see if someone recorded the highlights at the time

The biggest memory I have of that series is Chara beating the stuffing out of Lecavalier.

My memory was that it seemed like Havlat could do pretty much whatever he wanted in that series, not sure how accurate the memory is.....

I just remember at the end it was a curiosity in the handshake line when Chara and Marty St. Louis met up and there was about a 2 foot difference between them

Havlat seemed to own the Lightning his whole career. Even with Chicago I recall a few games where he just went off.
