Honorable Mention to Gavin White who likely would've won a theoretical poll #21.

Poirier and Seminoff clock in as the biggest risers as predicted. Most of the new draft class made it except for their 7th rounder, Sebastian Bradshaw. Don't give up Sebastian.

Looking ahead to next year Blümel, Damiani, and Bäck will age out regardless of what happens with their careers. It would be fairly disappointing if Stankoven doesn't graduate. He may end up requiring an exemption like we gave Harley if he kicks too much ass in the playoffs but doesn't meet the regular season games played quota.

Thank you to everyone who voted. Rest up, follow your training plans, and we'll see you at Traverse.

The corrupt tyranny tried to prevent Wheatcroft from being in the top 20. But truth will always prevail.

Only/Still 3 ½ weeks until the Traverse tourney on the 14th. Every year seems to surprise me with how quickly I go from being mentally done watching hockey after the playoffs to eagerly anticipating watching some games.

If the people running women's pro hockey were smarter, they'd be running their season right now because I would happily adopt a team to watch until NHL preseason starts.

I’ve had baseball to hold me over until hockey starts. Luckily having one of the most exciting talents in the sport makes it easier to enjoy the games.

My only overreaction is that Grushnikov and and Arcuri are too high, while Minnetian and Seminoff are too low. Splitting hairs: I'd have Martino over Bertucci. Other than that, solid work. I'll be sure to steal it for DBD or something.

Before we started the list everybody here was talking about how Grushnikov was a dissapointment last year and he should fall but somehow still ended up 1 rank higher than last year . Then again he "won" the vote for #7 with just 21% which is by far the lowest percentage of the winners.

Reasonable chance he and White play alot of ECHL next season.

On the contrary, I’d argue Grush and Arcuri should be higher. But I suppose it depends what attributes one holds in higher regard.

Brock OHL Top 25 Rankings

19. Christian Kyrou - Dallas Stars
Another guy that I didn't list as an HM last year, but who cracks the list this year thanks to some big improvements. I still have some concerns over his ability to defend at the NHL level, but I have way more confidence in his offensive ability translating thanks to improvements made to his quickness and linear speed. Kyrou's four way mobility has always been impressive; his edgework is a sight to behold. However, I found that he struggled to be a consistent factor in transition without that top gear and over-reliance on c-cuts and mohawking. This past year, he became way more dynamic and was consistently looking to attack because of it. He still has that huge point shot, but he's no longer just reliant on that to create offense at even strength. He'll turn pro this year and I would expect him to put up points in the AHL as a rookie.

HM. Francesco Arcuri - Dallas Stars
I think Arcuri has turned himself into a sneakily good NHL prospect. The skating has improved a lot over his OHL career and I felt like the increase in production this year was correlated with an improved ability to play with pace. Shot is high end too. His first pro season will be telling.

HM. Tristan Bertucci - Dallas Stars
We saw how good Bertucci was in the second half of last year's OHL season. If he can move forward and sustain that level of play over a full year, he'll emerge as one of the best defenders in the OHL. Tightening up his decision making, and when to be aggressive are the key next steps.

HM. Kyle McDonald - Dallas Stars

I'm not usually the type to include overager signees in this list because I understand the uphill battle that they face. However, I think McDonald is different. Here's a player who battled injuries his entire OHL career, but finally put it together this year (even in the face of more injuries). This guy can absolutely fire a puck and he has the size to help him get those looks in the middle consistently. Can he keep up with the pace of the pro game?

Just remember to vote in the next one. He should have been on the list a long ass time ago. He did nothing to deserve a nosedive like that. Going from 30 to potentially not even top 50 is preposterous.
