I’m not saying write him off but I was unimpressed with Holloway in the world juniors. Why all the love?

He produced at almost the same pace as Caufield at Wisconsin(while playing on different lines) and people saw what Caufield did in his debut with the Habs this year. He deserves the praise because he had a hell of a year in college but that is adding to the hype for sure.

I don't get the love for Lavoie over a guy like Konovalov or even Benson.

It's funny though how much people were losing it about Benson not being protected and he isn't even being voted as a top 8 prospect lol

It feels weird calling Benson a prospect at this point. If he's on the list why isn't Marody?

Picked Lavoie here.

Going goalie next. Who's got readiness and potential between Skinner and Konovalov? I've only seen small sized sample from Skinner from his time playing with the big club but haven't seen anything from the Russian goalie.

I don't think our goalies are getting the love they deserve, or I'm just wrong and Holland should have grabbed Wallstedt :scared:

Really? I thought he played great. His numbers didn’t reflect his effect on the ice, but in the games I watched, when he was playing with Cozens he was doing all the dirty work and was first man in on the forecheck disrupting breakouts and forcing turnovers, but didn’t get on the scoreboard because he wasn’t the guy putting the puck in the net.

I don’t think Cozens would have put up the numbers he did without Holloway on his wing.

I have a hard time listing skaters who are not exempt from waivers as a prospect, think benson is our 13th forward or probably gets claimed on waivers this year

He's a bad training camp away from getting a career AHLer label until/unless he proves otherwise. Now with the addition of Perlini, his climb into a NHL spot here is even steeper.

Lavoie again. He has been my vote since #4.

It's interesting that posters would rank Bourgault over Lavoie when the former has never played a game at the pro level. We shall see. I guess the same argument would apply to Holloway who has also never played a game at the pro level but has college level experience. Holloway remains the man to watch at camp in the search for new talent.

He didn't play at 100% and was nursing an UBI that limited his effectiveness.

Here's a clip where he talked about it.
