(1) #16 - Martin Kaut, RW, HC Dynamo Pardubice (Czech)
(2) #47 - Jack McBain, C, Toronto Jr. Canadiens (OJHL)
(2) #58 - Slava Demin, LD, Wenatchee Wild (BCHL)

(4) #109 - Liam Kirk, LW, Sheffield Steelers (EIHL)

Next GM has been notified.

Now this is a cool story. GB trained player with some skill. Very curious to see when he gets drafted and how he does playing regularly against better competition. Will he thrive going from big fish, little pond to somewhere with a deeper talent pool? It would be great for hockey in GB if he could make it in the NHL, so I'm definitely cheering for him.

Yeah same here, no idea where he is going to go in the draft. Only seen a little of him but he looks to have above-average skating, hands and a pretty good shot so the talent and skillset for him to turn into an NHLer definitely does seem to be there. He's apparently looking to go to CHL or Sweden next year. I think Sweden would be a great option because then he'd have time to adjust to in juniors for a few weeks/months and if he does well he'll have the option to play against men.

Anyway pretty cool to see guys come out of non-traditional hockey countries. Kirk this year and last year you had Alexandre Texier from France going in the 2nd round and he had a pretty decent season playing against men in the finnish Liiga this year.

It's just like a real draft now, I love it. A player so far off the board, the NHL registry has to confirm the guy's actually eligible haha.

Haha, I'm just surprised anyone outside of Sweden would know about him. Hell I don't know if many guys in Sweden even know about him. I've seen him in person 1-2 times and I really like his skating and he has decent size but I don't know how much else there is to his game. Cool pick nonetheless. Caught me by surprise similar to the Andong Song pick by the Islanders a few years back :D

Is Toronto awake?
I believe time is up? I nominate Tyler Madden, Tri-City Storm, USHL. Highest rated NA player.

If someone can confirm time is up and second this let’s move along....time is running out and pace has slowed to turtle speed.

Welp, there goes my pick, thanks Toronto for staying out late with the Flames and sleeping in. No wonder I hate both of you.

With the 121st pick Washington selects Lukas Dostal, goalie from Kometa Brno of the Czech League.

@UncleRisto and the Panthers are up next! (PM'd also).

lukas_dostal_07.jpg

After Ilya Samsonov there is little to no depth in goal for the Caps organization, and with Dostal being the #1 ranked EU tender I believe need and bpa meet with this pick. Impressive showing at the U-18s and led his team to the U20 Czech League title (playoff SP .959). Below average size by NHL standards but makes up for it with lower body quickness, strong positional play and a calm demeanor in net. Very happy to get him this late in the draft.

Best possible outcome: Jonathan Quick

:caps

1 (28) - Serron Noel - CAN - RW - 6'5" 209 lbs. - Oshawa Generals (OHL)
2 (46) - Liam Foudy - CAN - C/LW - 6'1" 185 lbs. - London Knights (OHL)
3 (90) - Scott Perunovich - USA - LD - 5'9" 165 lbs. - Univ. of Minnesota-Duluth (NCAA)
4 (121) - Lukas Dostal - CZE - G - 6'1" 165 lbs. - HC Kometa Brno (Czech)
6 (183)
7 (214)
