True. You also had LA with six wins, and Washington and Calgary with five apiece, But how about St Louis with the juicy double whammy, scoring both of the mostly hotly pursued free agents?

It comes down to both luck and numbers: the teams that were in the mix for the most free agents tended to come away with the most wins - with the notable exception of Vancouver, as Sean uncharacteristically only managed one win out of, by my count, 18 lottery chances this year. Blame Matthew’s fickle balls! ️

None of which explains why so many teams with tons of contract room seem to have not offered on any UDFAs at all. Curious to hear some GMs discuss their thinking - there may be perfectly legitimate reasons, but I can’t think what they might be.
