I'm pretty sure Topi Niemela & Matthew Knies........in any REAL/LEGIT ranking.......are ranked higher than 35th(and counting.....lol).

So what is the point of this poll? It's just a bunch of very biased fans, picking their favourite team's boys.

I wouldn’t take either of those players over the people picked…and several that haven’t been yet. And a couple not even on the board to vote for yet.

Based on what? Neither were first round picks and most of the players already voted in, and still available as voting options have outperformed them in various leagues, tournaments, and other showcases.

What has Knies done over some of these others? He had a comparable freshman season to a ton of college players in the poll, and has been outperformed by others.

And to counter the Niemala argument, the only defenseman voted in ahead of him are high first round picks and Owen Zellwegger who just had a historic scoring season as a defenseman.

Obviously there is a ton of bias in these lists but your post is extremely bias as well.

Like who? So far only Guhle is too high, imo.

and youre pretty much proving own point by saying BOTH Leaf prospects should be there by now. That's just your own very biased opinion. Gimme a break.

And to answer your question, what's the point? OFF SEASON FUN.

Meh. The Hockey Writers had Niemela ranked 29th and Knies 51st, I think. There is a strong argument for at least Niemela. And Knies, IMO, is coming on even stronger, so there's a good argument for him too. It's no secret that many on this board are ANTI-Leaf, and are not fair in regards to their assets, just as many Leaf fans are Lunkheads and overrate their assets.

I think your rankings are null & void. :)

And you can make the same argument for numerous other prospects not voted in yet..... Deal with it.

I remember Nick Robertson being ranked around Cole Caufield in the 2020 list if I'm not mistaken btw

I'm pretty sure that, without looking, Knies would maybe struggle to make the Sabres top 10. 7th at best right now.

Honestly, I'd be comfortable taking a chance on Bourgault now over the rest of the guys here. He's severely underrated

I voted Knies myself, and have liked him in the last few spots but preferred Bordeleau... but I think the reverse of this statement is true. You're the main one wearing the rose-colored glasses here.

Scott Wheeler just released a top 50 and Knies is only in the honorable mentions... and I much prefer Wheeler than a biased Leafs fan on HFBoards:

Was that before or after the draft?

Scott wheeler has a post draft list, and doesn’t have niemla or knies in his top 50.

@JohnLennon already posted it

It’s also no secret the leafs have a giant fan base, and forum presence…. Who are generally known for being very biased and giant homers.

Pre draft sure I’m sure knies and niemela made top 50 lists (35-50), but post draft I havnt seen them in top 50 anywhere to my knowledge. They prob in that 50-75 range tho.

Justin Barron is a better prospect than Josh Roy (And Guhle).

Were up to Bobby Brink but Im dropping him because of surgery.

Lekkerimaki
very arguable, both Roy and Guhle had outstanding seasons AND playoffs which put them 1-2 in most Habs fans' eyes now
