It’s been a lot of internal coping, Canucks have challenged for not only 1st in the division but 1st in the league for most of the season, something oilers haven’t done during the McDavid era. Vancouver is doing all this without a guy who’s going to go down as a top 10 player to ever play

Canucks? Their PDO has already gone down from where it was. Hence, the PDO they had... was not sustainable. Simple.

Their PDO was 104.7 on January 25. Over the 2 months since then, their PDO is 100.7.

So, yeah, great argument about the PDO being sustainable.

Oh, and for the record, over the past 2 months, Canucks have been the 14th-best team in the league in terms of accumulated points. Know where they rank in terms of advanced stats this season? 14th.

You know why the PDO dropped? They acquired Lindholm whom joined the team with the 2nd lowest PDO when coming from the Flames. If they didn’t acquire him they would still be sitting around where they were before.

1st in the league then, 1st in the league now! Something tangible that actually matters over useless advanced stats
