(I have to keep telling myself that this is about Development and not a Playoff run but this Coaching staff is ASS)

BTW, the only Good performance was by Bratt and Siegenthaler.

Even Jack with his goal still negated that good-will by missing the net entirely later on, leading to a Goals-against.

Not sure how many more evenings I'm going to waste watching this train wreck of a team to be honest. I've been numb to the losing for a long time but they look like even more of a shitshow than in previous years.

If we're going to stick with this garbage coaching staff all year I can't see myself watching that many more.

The thing is that complete overhauls of Coaching staffs almost always happen during the OFFSEASON so expecting everyone to get the boot isn't realistic as much as it would make us feel better.

The ownership group is fine with it. They're fine with it with the Sixers too. They have already acknowledged this is a multi year plan. It's getting hard to be invested in this team mentally let alone spending my money on it. I've been a lifelong fan and the last 10-15 years have been difficult, the last 5 have been absolutely horrible tbh. New coaches, new players, new mottos, new jerseys, same results. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Bingo…that’s the problem. Rebuilds happen but they do reach a point where you just can’t accept being bad every year.

And the 76ers are a mess. They had a good season last year and it is easier to rebuild in the NBA because a single player can be a difference maker. But they are right back to mediocrity again this year. Everything about this ownership group screams that they don’t know what they are doing.

Too much dead weight to list. Zacha, Kuokkanen, Boqvist, Tatar, Jaros, Vesey, the entire coaching staff...All had remarkably terrible games.

If I have to pick I'd say Recchi, Zacha and Ruff.

Recchi was part of the assist coaches getting let go after 2019-20 in Pittsburgh and Mike Sullivan is still there.

They dumped Jacque Martin, Sergei Gonchar and Recchi and hired Todd Reirden & Mile Vellucci. I believe their contracts simply weren’t renewed, it sounded like assistants got two year deals.

Recchi had replaced Tocchet when he left in 2017 for Arizona, so he got one 2 year coaching deal that wasn’t renewed, good thing we snapped him up.

Got to love the how pals hire each other, he was unemployed and Fitz (MR was Dir. of Player Personnel, Fitz’s old job!) had a spot open.

Not saying this should or will happen, but assistants can get let go with the HC still standing.

For real though. We cant basically tank another year. I dont care if it gets us Jesus on draft day, the losing mentality is already very hard stuck on some players and these are the players the young guys are supposed to be learning from.

Even if individuals have improvement this year, we cant just accept losing. We are not too far away from turning into a circus like Buffalo. Some of those teams were not as bad as their records ended up being, Eichel was superior to anyone on this team but when they faced any kind of tough times, couple losses - they couldnt stop it. Another season lost, repeat.

We need to play meaningful hockey. This season.

Ill say one thing positive. In interim, i liked the way the Hughes Zacha rango makeshift line was. It generated quite a few chances all game....like much better than anticipated.

schmid was fine the team sucks, they can’t win unless it’s against the flyers and that will probably change tuesday.

they keep saying it’s good effort and doing the same thing over and over again. i don’t want to say it’s a losing culture but they definitely are used to losing this season. they are a bad hockey team and the playoffs are out of the question. it’s december 11

They lost 4-2 tonight. PK gave up a goal, and the PP failed to score 3 times and gave up a goal.

At worst they should have gotten this to OT
