Hasn't been entertaining since late 90's/early 00's (Guys like JR, Hull, etc had personality and made game fun)

Problem is they finally decide to change the trend and do it after a long precedent against that and likely will next year because reasons. I mean Frank Vatrano is freaking all star this year

I fully expect our team to have multiple deserving candidates to go in a few years down the line only to be limited. Meanwhile Vancouver is sending 5 players which is absurd at this point.

I’m right behind you age wise and I love the new format. They have finally stopped pretending it was a real game.
The skills competition is mostly cool and I much prefer the shinny games over “real 5 on 5” game where everyone is afraid to risk injury.
This is more fun for all involved.
