I just can't imagine the NHL wanting to showcase the current version of the Hawks. You'd get to see Bedard, yes. But you'd be watching him play with a cast of rodeo clowns.

I haven't been back in years but before moving away there was a stretch of a couple years where it was WTF even 7 or 8 years ago. In the late 80's & 90's every winter was public ice skating on lake Ellyn (Glen Ellyn). I remember walking there (alone!) with skates in hand all the time. Wonder if Illinois has the tiger mosquitos yet, they're awful.
