The 2016 Winter Classic is not about today, it is about the 909 times the teams have met before.

NBC didn't want Rene for the anthems but on our GDT we do.

Had fun at the Alumni Game - seats from DraftKings were fine.

Traffic going down was as bad as I have ever seen it. We left the hotel in the Seaport at 1:30 and did not get to Gillette until 3 PM.

Yep-they get their pest back and we lose ours in addition to Krejci.

I hope they find a way to beat Condon and Rask closes the door.

Exactly, hoping Rask stands tall and Condon ***** the bed on the big stage! :handclap:

I actually enjoyed the Alumni game more than I thought. Samsonov could play for Boston tomorrow and be better than most of the forwards.

Bourque looked great- slower but all the same moves as before, the lost weight makes him look like the guy who won a Cup in Colorado.

as for Brickley, someone told me he wasn't invited. I been reading the out of shape comments and there were players in that game way worse than Brickley in shape. Never realized Brick was so out of shape- doesn't seem the type

Wow - I'd have to recommend that folks going tomorrow leave early then. I picked my friend up in Norwood, and we left at 12:30 because I was paranoid about traffic. Got there in plenty of time. Some fun stuff for the kiddies and big kids - got a "hockey card" while waiting in line for 45 minutes, and heard a semi-cheesy cover band.

And a warning: Habs fans don't know what the words "exit only" on a bathroom means. Or maybe it's a Gillete thing. Never seen people go in the the out door at the Garden, except in that "Bruins rules" commercials.

Those who are going tomorrow (not me!) are in for a treat! Can't say that I wouldn't rather spend $250 on a garden glass seat vs a corner mezz, but they'll do what they can to make it worth your while.

I loved watching the old time hockey. Just wish they'd brought back my favorite alum: the tie. Yeah, Ray's goal was great, but I'm firmly against the SO.

Kinda glad Gallagher is in. Maybe McQuaid can pest him back. Or punch him.

Good post. Really Habs fans are mostly bilingual and should know which way to go to the restroom lol

Yeah, I may have forgotten the :sarcasm: there. Besides, it definitely wasn't only Habs fans - it was also some Bruins fans - including some shorter ones who didn't see the "exit only" sign because it was blocked by other people. I may or may not have been one of those shorter fans.

(I know most Habs fans are bilingual, and have the utmost respect for that. I barely manage to plod along in one language.)

Great time at Gillette, and don't regret a moment of it - it was neat watching the old timers play, and while I wouldn't want the "no-contact" hockey to be the Way of the League, it was certainly an interesting diversion, and shows that the "real" games are nowhere near the "No Hurt League" yet.

Despite loving the WC Alum game, I won't mind sitting down and watching the actual WC on TV, either. Closer to the game, y'know?

Just in from Patriots place .

We went to dinner and a movie.

Snuck into a bar a few minutes before midnight. One the way out we ran into a B' s friend who talked us into going back in for another beer.

I am getting old. I think I was the oldest person at the bar and the music sucked. It was fun
to run into someone we knew. We chatted about the B's.

I forgot to DVR the darn alumni game. Can't believe it. I hope NBCSN or NHL Net will rebroadcast it at some point.

Ugg.

Really wanted to see Reggie in net again.
