Was anyone else, not really that impressed with him this stint?
No chance to be impressed really. He played a hair over 7 minutes a game and was always on the 4th line. I did notice a considerable difference in his speed (AHL is slower so that didn't help me) from last year. He at worst has average speed now and he is developing a physical element to his game, in college and the 1st part of the AHL season he was not physical at all. He is improving, but not in the ways that really show up on the stat sheet. He is being groomed for a 4th line role because he is a hard working and intelligent player, now he just needs to develop his aggressiveness and physical game.

Kenny Agostino and Bryce Van Brabant have really shown us more than we've seen from Ben Hanowski.

Agostino had 2 pretty good scoring chances last game against the Jets and Van Brabant was in some big plays as well.

So it's not really that surprising Hanowski was re-assigned to the AHL.
