Their core is still in their prime. It's not like he signed with Utah, Anaheim or Chicago.
Their core is mediocre. Lou is past it and will never turn hem into a winner. Utah, Anaheim, Chicago, Montreal all have a better chance at winning a Cup and can give him a chance on a scoring line.

Their core is fine, what they need is a better middle 6, which Tsyplakov could be.

This story remind me of that russian guy, supposedly fantastic that was signed by Vegas in their first year, and he didn't even manage to make their team of misfits.
