Got a chance to check out some scrimmage.
Good forward depth this year, it will be exciting to watch...

Pastujov/Zhilkin/Poitras
Zhugin/Karabela/Bowman

1a and 1b similar to 2014. The bottom 6 will be a battle and wouldn't be surprised to see some movement to shore up the D.

The team tweeted out the shortened roster. As expected, Bennett is not on it. I could see them moving a RW for a top 4 left D. That seems to be the surplus/need. Assuming Poitras moves to the wing, the depth on thr right side is Poitras, Bowman, McFarlane, Paquette and Luchanko.

Heard game yesterday was a very physical game and Missy had most of its top fwds and best dman out of lineup.

I’m not impressed with Luchanko, really needs to improve his skating.

Bowman is going to be a force this year and make teams that passed on him regret it.

Really intrigued by Allen. Wondering if Dickinson could be similar this year
Buchinger and Allen put up ridiculous numbers as a rookie defense pairing last year. The duo combined for 81 points in their rookie season, all while being solid and shut-down in their own end. London definitely had a "get" with the Dickinson trade, we'll see how he does in the O. If Guelph gets this year and next with Buchinger/Allen as the top pair we go back to back. (c;

The Ducks reassigned Profaca to their AHL camp (San Diego).

Thanks for the intel!! Without Profaca, Guelph really needs to address the D issue by bringing in a top 4 D. We can spare a depth forward. We are missing Zhikin, Pastujov, and Profaca tonight but this game is showing how we need that gap filled. Okitundu was a nice addition, but he is slotting into the bottom pairing. No doubt George is making some calls... especially if Profaca sticks in the AHL.

What's your OA situation like? Knights looking to unload a rt shot OA D-man (either Montgomery or Keane).

I'm going to say it.... Walker 4/12 on the faceoffs and -1 through 2. Zhilkin 8/10 on the dot. Walker is not a 2nd line centre. I know people will say "it's about matchups." But I'm ready for the team to admit and go full on 1a and 1b with the forward talent they have.

Also, we need a top 4 D. Badly. We can't assume Profaca is returned, he could stick in the AHL. Get on the phone George. Go for a top 4 D now to avoid a hemorrhage that could kill morale and you can still have enough assets for a big positional move at the deadline.

It's official, Profaca inks a deal with the San Diego Gulls. Congrats to him, well earned!!!

Do your thing George.

He is not one to put up big points but he is very solid defensively. Good positioning. He was one of the players after the "Covid break" who came back noticeably improved. A good checking game and lays hits (cleanly, not a dirty player at all). Would slot in on the PK.
