In Nov. 2006, Caps coach Glen Hanlon sent out Donald Brashear to bloody the Thrashers Vitaly Vishnevski and Erskine to get Hossa (in retaliation for an Andy Sutton hit). Erskine being a decent human being did not damage Hossa. Brashear, a true goon/thug, pounded Vishnevski mercilessly.
