Turner has been great so far this tournament.

Turner has been the only player on this team besides Gioacchini who has impressed me honestly. Maybe Robinson. When you take a fringe team you hope some players emerge, but besides Turner (who is still behind Steffen) I don’t think anyone has broken through to a potential World Cup roster.

American soccer is weird. The U.S. are playing in a notable tournament final against their biggest rivals...and there's a league game occurring at the same time. Ignoring the weirdness of continuing the league season through a tournament, you'd think you'd at least keep the schedule open for the day of the Final. I'm not sure if that's more of an indictment of MLS or the Gold Cup though.

I'm just baffled still that Arriola missed that sitter. Got out of that half without conceding so that's a positive at least. Unsure about potential subs. I'd like Gioacchini come in for Arriola, but after that I'm not sure.
