I think UFA's should need an Agent, but teams can determine their own fair RFA contracts with people being able to veto them if offers are too low.
- We will start with a period of trading before the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. If the game takes time to fill up, we will end trading later than the real TDL, otherwise we will look to end on the same day.
- We will then vote on the teams who make it into the playoffs, teams will be awarded points for each vote and will receive additional points based off current standings, at the time of the games start, to make it fair.
- Voting for each round will occur to determine the cup winner.
- 2023 NHL Entry Draft order will be decided based on standings after votes. If a team does not get any votes during the above phase, their current standing will remain and they will not move up or down. We will run 3 rounds only.
- After this, free agency will occur. All teams will have a chance to sign UFA's before the draft starts. All RFAs are automatically qualified. Offersheets will be allowed. Teams may sign RFA's before Free Agency.
- After a brief UFA period, We will vote on he 2023-2024 standings and award the 1st place team the Stanley Cup and and last place team the Builder Cup. Teams should put their best players forward, including top prospects.
- The salary cap will be 85.5M in 2024 season, 2023 remains 82.5M. There will be no cap floor.
- Players with NTC/NMC can be traded as if they did not have one.
- DO NOT SEND IN ANY TRADES. PLEASE.
- All trades are can be vetoed if the value is believed to be too far off by a unanimous vote, two players must state why they think the trade should be vetoed for it to be put to a vote.
- Trading will open once we fill up. Any trades that occur in real life can be honored if A) both teams agree and B) Both teams still have those pieces.
- There will NOT be a 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
- If you have any questions, feel free to PM the commissioners. TBD.
- Teams are responsible for posting their UFAs prior to Free Agency. Attempts can be made to resign before Free Agency. Will be looking for agents to assist with this.
- PLEASE READ THE RULES IN THEIR ENTIRETY.
- If you feel we should add some rules, please post them and they will be considered. I did this in a hurry.
