  • Quarterfinal Voting: Wednesday 2/19 3:00 PM -> 5:00 PM
  • Semifinal Voting: 5:00 PM -> 7:00 PM
  • Conference Final Voting: 7:00 PM -> 9:00 PM
  • Stanley Cup Final Voting: 9:00 PM -> 11:00 PM

  • Free Agency Begins: TBA
    *All times ET, and subject to change.
[/fieldset]
[fieldset=""]
Salary Cap

  • The salary cap maximum from the trade deadline to the entry draft is $64.3M.
  • There will be no salary cap minimum from the trade deadline to the entry draft.
  • Pro-rated cap hits will be moved in trades (use Capgeek's Armchair GM tool).
  • An injured player that is expected to return by the actual NHL trade deadline may be used on your roster.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players at the trade deadline.
  • Teams may have as many players on their playoff roster as they wish.
  • The salary cap maximum for the 2014-2015 season will be $71.1M.
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% during the offseason.
  • Teams must comply with the salary cap by the end of the game.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Each team has the option of sending ONE player on a 1-way contract to the minors or Europe due to cap reasons.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the current NHL standings.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Compliance buyouts are permitted during the Free Agency period, dependent on how many buyouts the actual NHL team has used.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and AnalogMan or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind it will only be on a rare occasion that a NTC or NMC is waived.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals will require a significant re-work in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC is still valid with their new team.

Our main goal will be to trade Paul Stastny and we are willing to retain up to 50% of his salary. We will be looking to acquire a young roster defenseman as part of the return but we could also consider a young winger.

We will seriously consider moving young sensation Nathan MacKinnon. A young defenseman with similar potential would have to be part of the return (could consider young winger and young defenseman for MacKinnon and lesser defenseman).

We are leaning towards keeping Ryan O'Reilly, especially if we decide to move MacKinnon. We are still listening to offers at the time being.

PM!

These are our big time trading chips. A TON of interest already.

Kesler
Burrows
Edler
Bieksa
Garrison
Hansen

Also on the Block:

David Booth

We are re-TOOLing. Not rebuilding. Don't send trades consisting of centerpieces that are prospects that are 2+ years away from the NHL.

Kesler/Edler/Bieksa - Don't come without a fair offer for these guys. They aren't rentals, they're in their primes and signed. Lowballs will be ignored promptly. These guys are NTC bound so a competitive team is a must.

Looking for a second line centre and a right-handed top four defenseman. Picks and prospects available. Will not overpay UFA's, don't even bother asking for Vatanen, etc. for expiring contracts.

The Stars are not content with their roster outside of the first line and in net.

We will look to move Alex Chiasson, Cody Eakin, Erik Cole, and Rich Peverley to help us net top 4 defensemen. We prefer younger ones and RH shots.

Brenden Dillon, Alex Goligoski, and Trevor Daley will be available to acquire young top 6 forwards. Would like to get a strong 2nd line center.

ALL prospects and picks will be available to facilitate a deal. Jack Campbell, Brett Ritchie, Jamie Oleksiak, Radek Faksa, Ludvig Bystrom, etc.

Sergei Gonchar, Ray Whitney, Vernon Fiddler, are available for average picks/prospects.

We are looking for a top four defenseman and a top nine forward. Anyone not named Stamkos, St.Louis, Hedman, Drouin, Vasilevskiy could be available but Kucherov, Palat, Johnson, etc... will be extremely difficult to get.

- Looking for a Top-6 Center that plays a different style then Backstrom and Grabovski (So, grittier two-way, shutdown game with Top-6 offense)

- Looking for a Top-6 LW to compliment the top line of Backstrom and Ovechkin

- Looking for shutdown and two-way bottom pairing defensemen.

Floating all picks and prospects, including Kuzentsov. Some roster players are available in the right deal, but looking to keep chemistry together while adding impactful additions.

Already received a bunch of PMs regarding Brayden Schenn and Sean Couterier. I'm still fielding offers for them if you're interested. Looking to improve me team in all areas and reshape the group. I most likely won't be moving Giroux and Simmonds.

We're looking at re-tooling our roster going into next season. Sell off a few pieces and get younger and cheaper.

OTB:
Milan Michalek (top-6 LW on an expiring contract, willing to retain 50% of salary)
Craig Anderson (has brought many teams to the playoffs recently and is affordable and signed past this season)
Matt Kassian (tough-guy that can throw with the league's heavyweights)
Chris Phillips (long-time Sen and stay-at-home d-man who can anchor your 3rd pairing, willing to retain 50% salary)
Joe Corvo (PP threat and puck-mover, cheap 3rd pairing/PP specialist)

Listening to offers on:
Jason Spezza (Would need some high-quality young NHLers / High picks / blue-chip prospects coming back)
Bobby Ryan (ditto)
Jared Cowen (looking to potentially move him for a similar age / upside W
Colin Greening
Patrick Wiercioch
Marc Methot
Cory Conacher
Mika Zibanejad
Kyle Turris

Looking for:
High-quality young NHLers @ W,C or D/ High picks in 2014 or 2015 / Blue-chip prospects

Already have a couple deals in place just waiting for formal confirmation.

Looking for an upgrade on Halak, mostly. Looking to move Rattie with him. I'm going all the way this season.

NONE OF MY DEFENSEMEN WILL BE MOVED. THIS INCLUDES SHATTENKIRK. I might move Leopold, but probably won't unless I get an upgrade.

Looking for 1 or 2 wingers, preferably long term players for our franchise. Would also be open to adding a solid, experienced back up goaltender. Realistically, I'd talk any player in the organization outside of Crosby/Malkin.

Detroit is retooling at the moment we want to strengthen our prospect pool also get young players. We want to stay competitive so we are not trading any core members. Would consider a young player for young player if it makes sesce. Everybody could be move but it must make sence

The St. Louis Blues have made two major transactions.

:blues :habs
In the first move, the St. Louis Blues acquired C Lars Eller, RW Brian Gionta (50% retained), and MTL 3rd in 2014 from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for RW Chris Stewart and C Patrik Berglund.

We're very excited for the leadership and SC experience that Brian Gionta has. He's still scoring and is a great locker room presence. Winning teams need Brian. We're also thrilled to bring back Lars. He was having it rough in Montreal this season, and fills a need for a big, defensively responsible center. We think his game fits very well with Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko.

:blues :flames
In the second move, the St. Louis Blues acquired LW Curtis Glencross from the Calgary Flames in exchange for RW Dmitrij Jaskin and EDM 2nd 2014.

We know we overpaid, we know that Dmitrij is going to be a fine player, and fits into the plans of the Flames very well. But this is a move that we had to make. Curtis is a reliable, tough, scoring LW that is going to be a main fixture on our 2nd line. He's a warrior that's needed on a SC contender.

We're very happy with our moves and are hoping this will bring us closer to a Stanley Cup. We wish Patrik, Chris, and Dmitrij the best of luck with their new teams.

I have a feeling trade zetterberg and datsyuk is a good idea don't want but might if the right offer comes along. I will be fielding offers, but no promises of pulling the trigger
