Nick Foligno joins the Habs on a 7yr 35mil$ deal that includes a NMC for the 5 first year of the deal.

''Nick is exactly the type of foward we lacked on our team. His hard nose, two-way style along with his good puck skills are really going to boost the team to another level. He is expected to play wing on the top line with Pacioretty and Galchenyuk.''

:hawks Chris Kelly signed a three-year, $1.7M per season deal with Chicago and gets a limited no trade clause because the Hawks expect the veteran checking forward to be a valuable Bottom-6 role player for a few playoff runs.

The Hockey News said:
Can line up anywhere up front, and can play any role required. Works very hard every time he steps onto the ice. Doesn't shy away from physical contact. Is sound at both ends of the ice.

:pens have re-signed newly acquired pending UFA Antoine Vermette to a 3 years contract worth a total of $12m.

Vermette can provide excellent secondary scoring while playing a solid defensive game. His talent allows us to be flexible with our lines when need. Welcome back!

:hawks are pleased to sign 6'5 rearguard Adam McQuaid to a 4 year, 2.75 million per season deal with full no-trade clause. The 28 year old solid physical defenseman has been playing 19+ minutes a night for the Bruins and he'll be a good depth option on the bolstered Chicago blueline in a third pairing role as the team needs depth to contend for the Stanley Cup each postseason with the present core of players.

The Hockey News said:
Has a huge frame at 6-4, plus the physical strength and aggression teams love from the back end. Is fairly sound in his own end. Excels when he keeps his game simple.

The Vancouver Canucks are very happy to announce they have re-signed defenseman Mike Green to a 6 year contract worth a total of $36M. The deal includes a NTC.

Mike gives us a huge boost to our PP unit as well as providing the team with 3 balanced defensive units.

:pens have signed defenseman Zbynek Michalek to a 4 years contract ($4,250m per). He'll bring experience and a solid defensive game to our young crew next season.

We're also completing our roster with the signing of Erik Condra for 2 years ($1m per). We like his defensive game and ability to kill penalties, and believe he can play a big role in our bottom 6.

"Chris is a hulking winger who has shown a lot of skill in the past. We hope that he can rekindle that fire in his time here in Calgary."
