IN-SEASON UFA AGENT

A couple quick notes :

- Unless you have a reputable source saying that the player absolutely wants to re-sign, it will be nearly impossible to convince me to let a top UFA to be player re-sign (by top UFA player I mean top 6 forwards, top 4 defensemen and starting goalie).
- Remember that it will need to be a perfect fit with perfect money (read major overpayment) for a player to re-sign prior to free agency.
- If you have recently acquired a UFA to be player, DO NOT send me an offer before the end of the playoffs (no recently acquired player will sign right away, they want to see how it will go with their new team. If you want to have the chance to negotiate before the playoffs, I suggest to ask the team you are discussing with to give you the chance to talk to me BEFORE making the trade).
- One PM per team please.

Nick Foligno joins Tampa Bay Lightning

479509-nick-foligno-abord-ete-tres.jpg

Tampa Bay Lightning sign winger Nick Foligno to a 5 year 23.75mil$ deal that comes with a LNTC that includes a list of 8 teams Nick would refuse to be traded to.

''Very happy with the addition of Foligno to the team. We have alot of skills up front but Nick grit, speed, two-way play and leadership were attributes that we lacked to have a more balance and complete team.''

The Rangers are very excited to announce the signing of Paul Martin to a 4 year deal worth 5.5 million/season. We see Paul as a smooth skating top-4 d-man with a ton of playoff experience and like what he provides on the back-end as far as another calm presence who can move the puck up to our forwards

GlenX is back in Calgary!

The Calgary have brought back forward Curtis Glencross to a 3 years contract, worth 4M per season. A NMC is included in the deal.

"We really wanted to bring Curtis back. He's a versatile guy that can play anywhere in your lineup, he can score and produce offense, is very solid defensively, plays with a lot of intensity, grit and physicality. He's a huge leader and a great locker room guy. He's also a great community guy, he's got his farm in Alberta, is involved with thr children in hopital in Alberta, has his golf tournement for charity events in Calgary, etc. He a guy wanted to play for us in Calgary, and thats very important for our management to have players who wants to play here. We are very happy and gratful to have him back".
