Tough game ahead. 8.5.2016 was the last time, Finland won against Germany at IIHF Worlds. Then we lost in 2018 and 2019. Finland took one win at 2018 Winter Olympics but we all know what happened at the end. Germany medalled, Finland screw it up.

Finnish lines today, as was posted on another thread:

80 Saku Mäenalanen – 24 Hannes Björninen – 12 Marko Anttila
22 Arttu Ruotsalainen 15 Anton Lundell – 20 Niko Ojamäki
21 Jere Innala – 27 Petri Kontiola – 81 Iiro Pakarinen
76 Jere Sallinen – 13 Mikael Ruohomaa – 48 Valtteri Puustinen

6 Tony Sund – 40 Petteri Lindbohm
3 Olli Määttä – 2 Ville Pokka
55 Atte Ohtamaa – 7 Oliwer Kaski

52 Mikael Seppälä – 39 Kim Nousiainen

45 Jussi Olkinuora (29 Harri Säteri)

So Turunen and Ruohomaa back on roster. Still no Axel Rindell who played very good at the EHT games.

Finland is a better hockey country than Germany, much better some would say, but yet Germany has over the years been a very difficult team to play against.

A couple of little mistakes there. Seppälä and Puustinen are sitting and Koivisto and Turunen are in the lineup.

Well subtract the missing NHL players and the delta is not big.
All in Finland has a lot better / deeper talent

Is Reichel playing or who is replacing him.

They had to overlap the preparation to European championships soccer game between Sweden and Finland with this one  (Sweden did, blame Sweden). Anyone else attempting to watch both games some way some how?

Your guys are in EURO training camps already? Huh. Footy interested Germans will have a similar problem, as the playoff for the last Bundesliga spot will overlap with the first period of this one and possibly more if it goes to extra time, which isn't out of the question.

Guessing 3-1 Finland in this one, but a few bounces for Germany and we have a chance. Tbh my guess is no good anyway since I don't know anything about the Finnish team, just going by what our lads have done so far.

I'm tension how the Finnish offensive game is. I still have doubts.

Germany
So Germany is going with 13 F and 7 D. Reichel, Bergmann and Brandt come out of the lineup for Peterka, Fischbuch and Eder.

Finland playing substitutes in that mostly and I think same with Sweden. Not that interesting match.
