Mistake by Mailloux after gaining possession of the puck in the neutral zone, he tried to do it all alone by cruising on the left side, had no viable shooting lane and ended up with a weak shot on net.

Bridgeport recovered the puck from that point and set up the winning goal while Mailloux remained behind the play.

Bridgeport should not have switched to the Islanders name. Rangers fans, Bruins fans, and fans of teams other than the Islanders had no problem going to root for the Sound Tigers. Getting these people to root for the Islanders is a different story.
