🤷we weren't going to win every game for the rest of the season...this one had schedules loss written all over it. Need the next two though.

watched this morning.....could kinda feel the result more and more as the game went on. felt as if they were more looking forward to heading east, than killing it. oh well...time to start the go for another 6.

They looked as much mentally as physically tired.

It's very unlikely to get points in a back to back in the west if the team on the back to back doesn't score first. Pretty much the whole team was fighting it. NYI's success lately has been built on crisp D exits, and not one of them had it. You could see it with Dobson, Romanov, and Pelech especially.

If Fasching scores instead of Kempe, it's a different game, and NYI would have had a decent chance imo to get a point.

Can't win 'em all, but the team looked terribly non-dangerous up front tonight. At times, they played far too complicated, like when Engvall had a quick 3-on-1 and let it get turned into a practically impossible angle shot with no passing options. Yuck!

The two Kings goals were exactly the type of goals it was clear we were NOT going to score. That kind of puck luck just wasn't going to be part of it tonight.

Still, really disappointing to get so many powerplays and see the unit be so incredibly lacking in danger, even looking downright sloppy on several occasions.

And somehow, it's just a smack in the face to get shut out by a guy like Rittich. He had two pretty good seasons between 2018-20, but hasn't played more than 21 games in a season since. He just didn't really get tested.
