He probably can't sue. I'm sure Illinois has a statute that severely limits an individual's ability to sue law enforcement.
The standards for justifying detention are really low for law enforcement and assuming they had a warrant to arrest him then that would make any lawsuit even more difficult.
Tenable lawsuits involving false detention, etc typically involve private security officers because they don't enjoy the same type of immunity that actual police officers do.

I'm sure his time is done with the organization when the club invokes a breach of the moral turpitude clause that is in every player's contract.

Essentially, it's a statement that allegedly scummy behavior without criminal charges isn't suspendable offense. I agree, but.... doesn't feel good to say.

I'm not sure if this is actually true because I hate Bernstein and DiCaro and would turn off anything that featured them sharing their opinions but it would be hilarious if ultra-feminist Julie DiCaro is one of Bernstein's "cronies" after he tweeted last year how he had no rooting interest in a CSN reporter's work but her enjoyed her boobs. She does all kinds of updates during their show, and they're constantly laughing and joking around. I listen to the score pretty much every day. Not gonna lie, it's unexpected, but I've heard it with my own ears. Boers and Bernstein were 100% ripping the Hawks organization all day yesterday for not severing ties with Ross, lifting his suspension, and putting out the press release for it so quick, etc. Kept reading the story from I believe the Trib where they interviewed the girl involved in this situation and she ripped the Hawks organization as well. Said it took them 40 days to suspend him after he was arrested in Feb, but only 10 hours to lift his suspension. They were ripping Keith for his incident, and have ripped him in the past for the rumor **** that was out there about Sharp and Dunc and his wife, etc. They were ripping the fans who called to defend Duncs. They were all over Keith about him being a headcase, him having serious issues off the ice that he needs to take care of, etc. It's funny that two sports writers/personalities in Chicago are constantly bagging on the only successful organization in this city. Pretty pathetic honestly. Can't believe their show is still on the air...
So to see Julie DiCaro paired up with them is not really that unexpected. They seem to have aligned agendas, despite the fact that she may dislike them as people. I despise them as people. It sure as **** seems that most other guys on the score also despise them.

From the article, definitely sounds like an icky situation but Ross is probably not going to face charges in Michigan because their statute regarding "revenge porn" doesn't involve text message exchanges and requires something to be published more widely on the Internet.

People shouldn't listen if they don't like DiCaro. The board's obsession with this woman is weird, and kind of creepy.

Huh? I think my last couple of posts are the first time I've ever even mentioned her name on these boards. And I don't think I see anyone hating on her for defending the woman in this incident... I'm honestly not even sure if she is defending this woman or not...
Most people hate on her for constantly bashing the Hawks, spreading rumors, and seeming to have her own agenda in regards to the organization as a whole... That's about it.
I'm not singling you out. But as I said, don't listen if you don't like her. The constant focus on her is bizarre. You don't find it telling that she became a topic throughout this thread? Why is that?

I have "bashed" her for her writing because I find it to be brutal. Just like I do with many at the TCI. I don't have an issue with her personally but she only comes up when it is related to the topic. She was related to this topic because she went crazy on the Kane story and even when she was proven to be incorrect in her judgement she kept going. People on this board have bashed her for her bad stories and anti Hawks stands. Where has it got personal? I may have missed it.
These topics seem to be a touchy subject for you so are there things that posters can do to avoid those for you? Serious comment.
I doubt I'm the only one with a severe distaste for the mra-bro mentality which reflexively lashes out at alleged victims. Victims of sex crimes are often reluctant to come forward as is. Shaming them with whataboutisms or calling them stupid (numerous times in this thread) is f'd up. I'm not being touchy. I'm reacting to people being *******s.

Shes bashing the hawks organization for reinstating Ross back to his job after all charges were dropped in some case that she has no clue about she just goes on dumb rants pro anything to do with women.
Right now shes ranting about womens soccer not getting paid the same amount as the men because....get this.....they win more.

I suppose if the roles were reversed and someone called the guy stupid it would be victim shaming as well, then? Or do your standards only apply to women?
